Do the Doodle!
When was the last time you picked up a pen or pencil and drew something? In a world where physical communication tools have been replaced by phones, tablets, and various machines, my guess is that its been a while. Whether you consider yourself artistic or not, drawing and doodling has a variety of health benefits. Not only is it a form of expression and communication, drawing favors concentration and can help you focus! Using drawing as a vehicle, we are able to demonstrate multiple feelings, emotions and thoughts. Not to mention, it's fun if you embrace your inner child! (Kid's drawings are always so epic and free!)
“When you draw an object, the mind becomes deeply, intensely attentive; and it’s that act of attention that allows you to really grasp something, to become fully conscious of it.”
says the renowned designer Milton Glaser, an author of a 2008 monograph titled Drawing Is Thinking as well as designer of the iconic I <3 NY mark. So let's take Milton's insight to heart and add a little Speshio twist.
What is it that you yearn to be intensely attentive of?
What do you want to become fully conscious of?
Personally, we think you should be intensely attentive and fully conscious of YOUR GREATNESS! So throw your inhibition to the wind, pick up a pen, and doodle it! Focus in on your goals, your desired greatness, and have fun expressing it. Just think about how many million dollar ideas were born by scribbling and scratching on bar napkins!
As always – your goals and greatness are not only important to your personal growth, but can also help motivate your teammates. Don't be ashamed if you aren't Van Gogh! Share your doodle on your team boards; or if you would rather keep it to yourself, put it in your personal locker to rediscover later when you need to refocus.
